Protecting privacy

To protect privacy, data is given a code, which is only used afterwards. The code key is kept in a secure location in the hospital. Only that code is used when processing data, in reports and publications about the research. This means that no one can identify to who the data belong.

Some people can view their name and other personal information without using this code. This may be data collected specifically for this study, but also data from the medical file. These are the people who check whether the researchers who conduct the research are working properly and reliably.
