The blood test

During the blood test, a tube of blood are taken from a blood vessel in the arm.

This is tested for:

• Hemoglobin [Hb] = check for anemia
• Creatinine = control of kidneys
• ALT, AST and bilirubin = control of liver
• Beta-hCG [pregnancy hormone] = check whether or not pregnant
