Endometriosis

Endometriosis in itself is not a reason not to participate in the study.

It is expected that complaints of endometriosis - such as painful periods - will decrease when using mifepristone because blood loss during menstruation is reduced or even absent.

Women with a history of severe endometriosis (grade 3–4) cannot take part in this study, even after treatment. Severe endometriosis may reduce the chance of a natural pregnancy, even after treatment. Because this study looks at the contraceptive effect of mifepristone, participants must have a similar chance of becoming pregnant.
